The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, September 5, 1952

Mrs. Nancy (Hale) James, 73, died Thursday, September 4, at the home of her 
brother, James Rathburn.  She was born September 1, 1879, in Sheridan.  She 
lived in Lyons township for many years.  

Surviving are the husband, Warren, of Muir; one daughter, Crystal I. Mann of 
Belleville; two sons, Leslie Hale of Jackson and Eldon L. Hale of Muir; nine 
grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five brothers, James and John Rathburn 
of Flint, Jesse Rathburn of Fife Lake, Cash Morgan of Port Angeles, Wash., and 
Bert Morgan of Ionia; and three sisters.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Myers funeral home.  Burial 
will be in Greene cemetery.
