JAMES DIED FRIDAY Harry P. James 70, of Hastings and former local resident died Friday at his house after a two year period of ill health. Mr and Mrs James resided on Brown Rd. in the house purchased of Mr and Mrs Roy Houghton. He retired three years ago after working 19 years for the E.W. Bliss Company. He was a coremaker an also union officer ad was treasurer of Local 336, international Molders and Foundry Workers fo America, AFL at the time of his retirement. A former employee and foreman of the Wool Boot Company, he worked for the Viking Foundry after the Wool Boot Company closed before joining the Bliss Company. He was a member of the Hasting's Moose Lodge. Surviving are his wife the former Gertrude Allerding and two brothers Lee of Roger, North Dakota and Charles of Hastings. Funeral services were held Monday at the Leonard Funeral Home with burial in the Fremont cemetery, Rev. Lesson Sharpe officiated.
