The Ionia sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, January 26, 1988

Elizabeth (Betty) Jandernoa, 96, of Pewamo, died at her home on Sunday.  Known 
to her friends as Grandma “J” or Betty, she was born on January 1, 1892, in 
The Netherlands, the daughter of Ranier and Antoinette (Dalderop) 
Beauchampet.  She was married to Anthony V. Jandernoa, D.V.M., on June 5, 
1917.  He died in 1953.

She is survived by five children; Rita Perry of Ionia, Jeanne Keck of Chicago, 
Don Jandernoa of Grand Rapids, Harriet Haskins of Lake Odessa and Richard 
Jandernoa of Fowler.  One son, William Jandernoa, preceded her in death in 
1976.  She is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Church, the Altar Society, Daughters of 
Isabella and the Edwin T. Stiles American Legion Post Auxiliary.

The family will be at George Funeral Chapel, Fowler, Tuesday when rosary will 
be recited at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Wednesday, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 
with the burial being in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Pewamo.  A memorial has 
been established for St. Joseph’s School, in care of the funeral home.
