Ionia Standard, 20 Jul 1876

Mrs. I. W. Janes of this village died suddenly Saturday morning, at the 
residence of Simon Town in Lyons, of congestion of the stomach.  Mrs. Janes has 
been a resident of this village for several years and was esteemed by all who 
knew her.  She was worth about $20,000 at the time of her death.

Mrs. Jaynes, of Muir, died very suddenly early Saturday morning at the 
residence of Simon Town.  She came over on Tuesday for a visit and on Friday 
seemed to be as well as usual, but was taken sick about midnight and died 
shortly after ten.  She resided in Ionia for several years, and had a great 
many warm friends there as well as in Lyons and Muir.  The funeral services 
were held at her late residence in Muir on Sunday afternoon.
