To this couple were born twelve children, 9 boys and 3 girls, only two of whom are now living – William and Louis, both farmers in same township; one son, Frank, was laid to rest only three weeks ago. Deceased was born in Germany, came to America about 50 years ago; was married 48 years ago. Funeral from the late home, on Saturday, conducted by Rev. B.H. Succop of this city; burial in Tuttle cemetery. ---- 25 Years Ago – Items taken from Herald Quarter Century Ago… Mrs. Catherine Janes, who died recently in Orange, was the mother of the tallest family in the state. A daughter and a son now living are respectively 6 feet 3 inches and 6 feet 5 inches. Four sons who are dead were 6-6 ˝, 6-9 ˝, 6-10 ˝ and 6-7 1/2. A deceased daughter was 6 feet 7 inches. Mrs. Janes stood 6 feet and 1 inch.
