Ionia Sentinel Standard, 3 Jul 1991

Virginialee Janislawski, 72, of Ionia died July 2.  She was born the daughter of
Harley W. and Helen M. Stakler Koons on Oct. 22, 1918, in Detroit.

She married Theodore Varga in Detroit, in 1941.  She married Fred Hardin in
Detroit, in 1949.  He preceded her in death in 1960.  In 1961 she married
Stanley Janislawski.  They moved to Ionia in 1983.

She was a life member of the Eastern Star and the Rebekahs.  She was also a
member of the Women of the Moose.

Surviving are: her husband; two daughters, Theodora Wassom and Rebecca Brown of
Ionia; four grandchildren; and her brother Harley Koons of Detroit.  She was
preceded in death by a daughter Sally Megan in 1960.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorials have been established for the Grand
Chapter Order of the Eastern Star of Michigan and the American Diabetes
Association, in care of Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
