Julius L. Jeffery, 45, of 310 East Main street died Sunday afternoon, June 6, 
at Butterworth hospital, Grand Rapids.  He had been in ill health for about a 
year.

He was born in Grand Rapids, April 19, 1909.  He graduated from Ionia high 
school in 1927 and had been engaged in the hardware business since then.  He 
was first employed at the Ireland Hardware company and later at the Ionia 
Hardware company where he worked until shortly before his death.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellen, three children, Emily Kay, John C., and 
Carol A., all at home, and two brothers, Frank of Ionia and Joseph of Muskegon.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Myers funeral home 
with the Rev. George Rentschler officiating.  Burial will be in the Balcom 
cemetery.
