Fred E. Jeffery, 70, of Fenwick died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996 at Sheridan 
Community Hospital.  He was born May 2, 1926 in Palo, the son of Guy and Mille 
Badder Jeffrey.  He retired from Extruded Metals in 1988 after 35 years.  He 
was married Oct. 26, 1948 in Palo to Vivian Feathers.

He is survived by his wife, Vivian; children, Fred. E. (Deborah) Jeffery Jr. 
of Sheridan, William D. (Debra) Jeffery of Belding; six grandchildren; six 
great-grandchildren; sisters, Elmira (Albert) Goodsell of Fenwick, Elizabeth 
(George) Addis of Sheridan, Mary Cole of Greenville, Patsy (Calvin) Lafferty 
of Orleans, and Alberta “Burt” (Ron) Mier of Belding; brothers, John Jeffery 
of Fenwick; Phillip (Sondra) Jeffery of Ionia; and Elbert (Dawn) Jeffery of 
Fenwick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Fred Forist and Marie 
Jeffery; sister, Clara Jeffery; brother, Martin Jeffery; and three 
grandchildren, Bridgette, Kimberly and Mark Sharkey.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the John Funeral Home in Belding 
with Pastor Kenneth Martin officiating.  Interment will be in Greene Cemetery, 
and visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
