Nov. 21, 1984 DALE JEFFERY KALAMAZOO - Funeral services for Dale Jeffery, 64, of Kalamzoo were held Nov. 13 from the Langeland Memorial Chapel in Kalamazoo. A former Ionia resident, he died Nov. 11 at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo. He was born Nov. 1, 1920, the son of late Charles and Celia Adgate Jeffery, and attended Ionia Public Schools. He joined the U.S. Army in 1943 and served in Europe in General George S. Patton's Third Army during World War II. After military service, he moved to Kalamazoo and in 1950 he was married to Esther Kent there. He was employed at the James Rivers Corp until his retirement in 1982. He was a life member of the Muir-Lyons V.F.W. Post 4636. Survivors, in addition to his wife, included; a son, Larry, of Spokane, Wash. and a brother, Clarence Jeffery of Ionia. One brother, Harold Jeffery, preceded him in death in 1975. Serving as pallbearers from this area were James Reisbig and Terry Jeffery of Ionia, Carl Schrauben of Pewamo and Charles Jeffery of Lyons.
