Barbara Jean Jeffery age 79 of Pewamo passed away July 24, 2007.  She was born 
February 13, 1928 in Hubbardston the daughter of Bill and Nina (Gilboe) Welch. 
Barbara married Clarence Jeffery July 12, 1947 who preceded her in death in 
2001. She was a member of Lyons VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Barbara is survived by her children, Brenda and Carl Schrauben of Pewamo and 
Charles and Dion Jeffery of Vestaburg; brothers, William Welch of Ionia; 
sister, Mary Lou Shields of Ionia; seven grandchildren and nine great 
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Connie Blackard in 
2004; 2 grandsons, Shaun Jeffery in 1984 and Chuck Jeffery Jr. in 2002; 1 
sister, Doris Marion and 1 brother, Harold Welch.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Anyone wishing may make a memorial 
contribution in Barbara's name to Grand Rapids Hospice.
