SONDRA JEAN JEFFREY
Sondra Jean Jeffrey, age 70 of Ionia, passed away at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing,
Jan. 28, 2016. She was born July 15, 1945 in Ionia the daughter of Howard and Esther
(Wieczorek) Ralph.

Sondra married Phillip Jeffrey on Feb. 14, 1966 in Ionia. She graduated from Ionia
High school, Class of 1963 and Central Michigan University, Class of 1972. Sondra was a 
member of First Presbyterian Church in Ionia. She began her teaching career in
Portland at St. Patrick Catholic School and later Westwood Elementary in Portland where she 
was currently working. Sondra introduced young  authors to the Portland School System. 
Sondra was a very dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and teacher.

Sondra is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phillip Jeffrey of Ionia; children,
Chris (Catrina) Jeffrey of Kalamazoo and Trish Jeffrey of Grand  Rapids; and
grandchildren, Cayden Schultz and Cayleigh Jeffrey.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon Ralph.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 11 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in
Ionia with Pastor Bruce Mulder officiating. Visitation on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Funeral
home.
