JEFFREY Martin H.Jeffrey, 49, died Friday, march 31 at his home, 211 E.May street, following a heart attack. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and an employee of the City of Belding. Born in Ionia on March 10, 1923, Mrs.Jeffrey was married to Sarah Hopkins October 25, 1947. She survives. Other survivors include his mother Mrs.Millie Jeffrey of Fenwick; five daughters, Phyllis, Patty and Martha Jeffrey, all at home, Mrs.Daniel (Alice) DePue and Mrs.John (Julie) Bradberry, both of Belding;f our sons, Martin Jeffrey Jr., Larry L. and Charles, all of Belding, and Gary, at home; one step- daughter,Mrs.Robert (Joyce) Slayton of Belding; two step-sons, Robert Krick of Orleans and Kenneth Krick of Greenville; five sisters,Mrs.Albert (Elmira) Goodsell of Vickeryville, Mrs.George (Elizabeth) Addis of Sheridan, Mrs.Leonard (Mary) Cole of Greenville, Mrs.Calvin (Pat) Lafferty of Belding and Mrs.Ronald (Alberta) Meyers of Belding; four brothers, Fred Jeffrey, John Jeffrey,Albert Jeffrey, all of Fenwick, and Phillip Jeffrey of Ionia; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev.Raymond Haner Monday afternoon, April 3 at Charles M.Courser Funeral Home.Interment was in Rest Haven Memory Gardens,Ionia County. Serving as pallbearers were Martin Jeffrey Jr., Charles Jeffrey, John Bradberry, Larry Jeffrey,Kenneth Krick and Robert Slayton.
