Charlene J. Jeffrey, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 in 
Grand Rapids.  She was born on January 21, 1933 in Stanton, Michigan.  
Charlene was a very strong Christian woman who was devoted to her children and 
grandchildren.  She spent many years traveling all over the world with her 
husband Clinton while he was in the U.S. Army. 

Charlene was preceded in death by her husband Clinton; son-in-law Randy 
Jensen, parents, twin brothers Wayne and Blaine Stewart, a sister Barbara 
Woods, and stepfather Lyle Clock. She is survived by her children, Barbara 
(Scott) Montgomery of Ionia, Brenda (Robert) Taylor of Remus, Lisa Jensen of 
Greenville, Robert Jeffrey of Ionia, Renee Wagner of Ionia, Chad Jeffrey of 
Ionia, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, aunts, 
uncles, and sister Glennie Maynard of Ionia, and brother Gary Stewart of Grand 
Rapids. 

Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Ralph Barton on Saturday, 
September 16, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 220 
Rich St., Ionia. Interment will take place at Sheridan Cemetery. The family 
will be receiving friends on Friday, September 15, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. at the 
Funeral Home. Contributions can be made out the American Cancer Society on 
Charlene’s behalf.
