Edith M. Jenkins, 81, of Belding, died at her residence on Saturday, July 15,
1995.  She was born May 14, 1914 in Greenville, the daughter of Delmer and Ada
Johns.  On Feb. 10, 1932 she married Edward L. Jenkins, who preceded her in
death on Aug. 27, 1994.

She is survived by one daughter, Jackie (Dave) Bradford, of Howard City, sons:
Edward (Phyllis) Jenkins, of Belding, Gene (Sally) Jenkins, of Battle Creek, and
Jim (Marcia) Jenkins, of Belding; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren;
sister Dorothy Beckwith, of Greenville, three sisters-in-law and one
brother-in-law: Ruth and Jim Rice, of Grand Rapids, Helen Barber, of Battle
Creek, and Lucille Jenkins, of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.  She was
also preceded in death by one brother, Lester Johns.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 19, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Johnson
Funeral Home, in Belding.  Rev. Kenneth Harger will be officiating.  Interment
will be in Otisco Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the
time of the service.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart
Association or the Alvah N. Belding Library.
