Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Wed. Jan. 4, 2012

Sharon Ann Jenks, beloved partner, mother, grandmother and friend, 69, of Muir, 
passed away on Jan. 2, 2012 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on 
Nov. 29, 1942 in Ionia, the daughter of Margaret and Harold Swainston.

She enjoyed traveling to Tennessee and Florida to visit with friends and escape 
the Michigan weather, spending time with family, shopping and Papa John's Pizza.

She is survived by her life partner of 14 years, Randall Mowery of Muir, 
brother, Terry Swainston, Lyons; daughter, Jennifer (Gene) Koelsch, Lyons; 
grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, Jessica, Jeffrey and Jenna; adored dog, Pooper; 
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Harold Swainston; a 
brother, Phillip, and a son, Jeffrey.

No service will be held, per her request. Please join us for a memorial and 
luncheon to remember and celebrate her life at the VFW Hall in Lyons from noon 
to 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012.
