Jenks, 95, of Easton died at her home Friday evening at 11:25 o'clock. The daughter of Harry and Elizabeth Smith, she was born in Attica, N.Y, August 14, 1855. She married Frank E. Jenks February 19, 1883, at Victor, N.Y. and they moved to Michigan in 1885, settling on a farm northwest of Ionia. Mr. Jenks died October 31, 1909. Surviving are two daughters, Florence E. Harris of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Violet F. Haney of Ionia; two sons, Ray W. of Webberville and Harlie E. of Grand Rapids; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Dildine church, Dildine Community club and the State Road club. In 1949 she was honored guest at the Orleans Pioneer dinner for being the oldest resident of that area. She has been attending the pioneer dinner since 1935. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. H. S. Ellis of Belding at the Myers funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
