The Ionia County News, Thursday, March 21, 1935

William H. Jennings, 72, died at the home of his son, J.M. Jennings, 682 
Hackett street, Wednesday evening, March 20.  He was taken ill late Tuesday 
night and death was due to a blood clot on the heart.

Mr. Jennings was born in Canada and for 25 years he was employed by the Grand 
Rapids street railway.  In 1896 he was united in marriage with Miss Alice E. 
Archibald in Grand Rapids.  Mrs. Jennings died there 24 years ago.  In 1927 
Mr. Jennings came to Ionia, which has since been his home.

He is survived by two sons, George W. Jennings, of Stoddard, Wis., and J. M. 
Jennings, Ionia; a brother, Albert E. of Oshawa, Ont.; three sisters, Edith 
Jennings and Mrs. Ethel Bowers, both of Chicago, and Mrs. Mary MacIntosh of 
Toronto, Canada.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 Friday afternoon from Stone’s Funeral home 
with burial in the cemetery at Ada.
