Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

Mrs. Eva E. Jensen, 96, of Greenville, formerly of Ionia and Belding, passed 
away Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 in Greenville.

She was born the daughter of William and Mary (Ulrich) Matzke on Oct. 25, 1905 
in Dwight, Ill.  She moved to Ionia County in 1920.  She married John Jensen on 
Oct. 15, 1924 where they resided in Ronald Township until moving to Belding in 
1987.

Surviving are one daughter, Mildred (Harmon) Strieter of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; two 
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jensen in 1990; and her son, 
Donald Jensen in 1989.

Funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday from the Cook 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Kenneth Harger of the Shiloh Community Church 
officiating.  Interment will be in Woodard Lake Cemetery.  The family will meet 
relatives and friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday prior to the funeral 
service.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Greenville Memorial 
Hospital Long Term Care Unit in care of Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
