Ionia Sentinel Standard – Monday, 3 December 1945
Charles Jensen, 93, died at his home I Belding, Sunday after several months’ 
illness.  He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Lee Wiseman of 
Ionia; Mrs. Carl Jonas and Mrs. M. Anderson of Belding; a son, Sgt. Ray Jensen 
in the United States marines; seven grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.

He was born in New York and came to Michigan when he was a young man.  In 1897 
he was united in marriage to Alta Luscombe.  He was a member of the Fred hall 
Encampment No. 3 of Ionia.  The body is at the Fales-Hoffman funeral home in 
Belding.
