Sentinel-Std. - Thursday, June 1, 1967

Axel M. Jensen, 71, of 812 Forest died suddenly Thursday at his home of an 
apparent heart attack. He was born February 5, 1896 in Grand Rapids, the son of 
Hans and Anna Jensen.

He was married in 1923 to Lena Kaltz in Grand Rapids and moved to Ionia in 
1936. Following employment at Michigan Reformatory he retired in 1961.

He was also a veteran of World War I.

Surviving besides his wife, Lena, is a son, Donald of Wyoming, and four 
granddaughters.

Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Stone-Kauffman 
funeral home with interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
