Jensen was born Jan. 23, 1845, in Easton, where the reformatory is now situated, and died Monday, Sept. 23 1918 at her home in Orleans, being 73 years, 8 months of age. She was the youngest of four children born to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Barker, two of whom survive, Mrs. Joseph Reed and Mrs. William Reed, a brother Joseph, dying in service of civil war. She came with her parents to the late home in 1859, having spent nearly sixty years of her life in this place. In 1880 she was married to Frands Jensen. No children were born to this union, but since his demise in 1902, she has been cared for by his nephew, Jens Jensen. Mrs. Jensen was a woman of sterling qualities and much devoted to her home. She leaves a host of friends by whom she will be greatly missed. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the house. Rev. E. E. Branch officiating. Interment in Orleans cemetery.
