                               BEN JOHNSON DIES

Ben Jepsen 76, died Tuesday at Burton Heights, Osteopathic Hospital in Grand 
Rapids, after a four month illness. He lived with his son at 205 Vincent St.and 
spent must of his life in Ionia County. He was a cook by trade.

Born August 9, 1880 at Dwight, Illinois to Mr.and Mrs.Anton Peter Jepsen. He was 
married in 1919 to Henrietta Rasmussen at Detroit. She preceded him in death on 
July 3, 1929.

Surviving are three sons, Anton Peter, of Grand Ledge, Leonard H.of Detroit, and 
Richard K. of this city. He also leaves two sisters,Erma Showers and Esther 
Schroeder both of Ionia and ten grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday,May 9, (today) at 2 p.m. at the Huffman 
Funeral Home, with Rev.Frank Gillett as minister. Burial will be in Clear Lake 
Cemetery, Montcalm County.

Pallbearers are Wm. Kanouse, Paul Shafer, David Swarthwood, Jerry Swarthwood, 
Howard Hartman and Emmett Moyer.
