Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2002

James B. Jepson, 73, of Comstock Park passed away July 23, 2002 in Greenville.

He was born Aug. 14, 1928 in Ionia, the son of James B. and Evelyn (Poole) 
Jepson.  He was a graduate of Saranac High School in 1946.  He would go on to 
marry Josephine Magee Feb. 6, 1954 in Indiana.  Camping was his love.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Josephine of Comstock Park; his 
children, Nancy (John) Cantrell, Robert (Jennifer) Jepson, Kenneth Jepson and 
Mary (Dennis) Vanderlaan all of Comstock Park; and grandchildren, Nicole, John, 
Rachel, Andrew, Caity, Kimberly and Jessie.

Funeral services for Mr. Jepson will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday at the Lake 
Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. James Frank officiating.  Interment Saranac 
Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., 
Wednesday at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac.  Anyone wishing may make 
memorial contributions to American Cancer Society.  Envelopes available at the 
funeral home.
