Ionia Sentinel Standard, 15 Oct 1985

Evelyn L. Jepson, 88, of 300 Summit Street, Saranac, died Oct. 13 in the Lowell
Medical Care Facility.  Born in Saranac Feb. 19, 1897, she was the daughter of
Asa and Harriet Goodale Poole.  She was married to James Jepson in Saranac Feb.
17, 1923.  He preceded her in death in 1941.

She was an active member of the Saranac Order of the Eastern Star and its past
county president; she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and of
the Saranac Community Church.

Surviving are a son, James Jepson of Comstock Park; a brother, Victor Poole of
Saranac; a brother-in-law, John Adgate of Saranac; and four grandchildren and
one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Lake Funeral Home, with the
Revs. Allen Hermansader and James Frank officiating.  Burial will be in Saranac
Cemetery.  A memorial has been established for the Ionia County Unit, American
Cancer Society.
