The Portland Observer, Thursday, March 6, 1924

A telegram was received last Saturday morning announcing the death, at Toledo, 
Ohio, of Mrs. Ray Jessup, of Sebewa, who recently went to that city to help 
care for her mother and sister who were ill with scarlet fever.  Mrs. Jessup 
contracted the disease and passed away Friday night.  The remains were brought 
here for burial.

Besides the husband she is survived by two small daughters, Clara and 
Frances.  One brother, two sisters and the mother reside in Ohio.
