The Republican (Clinton County) – September, 1890
Died, in Matherton, Sept. 5, J. M. Jessup, aged 80 years and 4 months.  Rev. 
T.  B. Miller officiated at the funeral.  The remains were followed to the 
cemetery by a large circle of friends and neighbors.
