Ionia Sentinel, 8 Sep 1960

Alfred Jewell, 76, a lifelong resident of Belding, died Tuesday at Greenville 
hospital.

Born in Belding Jewell was a molder in the John Bean factory and later was 
foreman at Belding Basket Company and Federal-Mogul.

Surviving is his wife Carey, three daughters including Mrs. Fay Belanger of 
Belding, three sons, Clair, Richard and Robert, all of Belding; 29 
grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Ellis funeral home.  Burial was 
at the old Belding cemetery.
