Ionia Daily Sentinel, 13 Mar 1909

Mrs. Nancy Jewell, wife of the Rev. J. B. Jewell, who has been a long time a 
great sufferer, passed away, at the home, 342 Bliss street, at one o’clock Sunday 
morning.  Her age was 77, and she has been a long-time resident of Ionia, well 
known and beloved by many.  Funeral service at the home, at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, 
conducted by Rev. W. K. Spencer, D. D.  Interment, Highland Park.
