The deceased had been a resident of this city about two years, coming here from near Lowell. In an early day he owned a farm in Otisco and also in Spencer near Lincoln lake. He was one of the respected pioneers of this section and a most honorable and upright man. His daughter Mrs. Lucy Smith, has been caring for him and his invalid wife. The funeral was held at the late home Tuesday afternoon, his pastor, Rev. G.F. Craig, officiating, and his remains were taken to Troy for burial. Undertakers Foster & Ritter. He leaves besides his wife and daughter two sons, Ira A. Johnson of Detroit and Grant Johnson of New York. The latter met his brother with the remains at Detroit and accompanied him to Troy.
