Mr. Ernest M. Johnson, age 70, of Carrollton, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 
19, 2011.  He was born March 11, 1941 in Lake Odessa.

Mr. Johnson was a retired patrolman with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office 
and had previously worked with the Carrollton Police Dept.  He served his 
country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Pitts 
Johnson; brothers and sisters, Alan (Sandra) Johnson, George Johnson, Margaret 
Moe and Kenneth (Rose) Johnson.  Survivors include his children, Rita Johnson, 
Scott Johnson, and Kevin (LeAnne) Johnson, all of Carrollton, GA; brothers, 
Clarence (Sandra) Johnson of Florida, Larry Johnson and Jerry Johnson, both of 
Lake Odessa; also surviving are four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 21, 2011.  
Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton, GA had charge of the 
arrangements.
