The Belding Banner, Thursday, September 22, 1898

Sarah Johnson, aged 57 years, widow of Geo. Johnson, who preceded her many 
years ago, died at her home last Friday and was buried Sunday. The funeral, 
which was largely attended, was held at Orleans M. E. church, Rev. B. V. Child 
officiating.  The deceased was born in Nottinghamshire, Eng., in 1841, and 
came to Washtenaw county in 1944, afterward to Orleans.  She was the daughter 
of Elizabeth Raby and leaves one daughter, Mrs. Canfield.  She was a sister of 
Samuel Raby.
