The Ionia County News, Thursday, December 13, 1934

Swan Johnson, one of Ionia county’s oldest residents, died at his home here 
Sunday morning.  Although he was in failing health he had not been confined to 
his bed for any length of time.  He was well past eighty years of age and had 
lived in South Boston on the Lusk farm for many years.  His daughter, Mrs. 
Fred Broadbent and son, Will Johnson, live near their parents here.
