Surviving are, Maxine Mae (Roark) Johnson, his loving wife of 67 years; daughters, Dorla (Art) Reid of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Yvonne (Dan) Howe of Carnation, WA, Arloa Thomas of Lake Lure, NC, and Carol (Jim) Redebaugh of Leonidas; son, Robert “Rob” Ira (Kim) Johnson, Jr. of Lake Odessa; grandchildren, Jamie (Lynn) Methner, Joel Methner, Tracie (Tim) Hardy, Amanda Redebaugh, Mary Ann (Stephen) Wallace, Sally (Rich) Fritterer, Debra Robinson, Craig Thomas, Clint Thomas, Tom Imus, Brandi Johnson, Robert Johnson, Brittni Johnson, and Macei Johnson; 14 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Donna Johnson and Dory Johnson; brother-in-law, Don Rawlings; and his beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Robert and Jennie (Freyermuth) Johnson; five brothers, Richard, Roy, Bill, Guy and Jack Johnson; sister, Catherine Rawlings; and grandsons, Adam Craver and Jerel Methner. Robert’s chosen profession was farming, and he was also active in the Hastings Community of Christ Church, most recently serving in the priesthood capacity of Evangelist. Visitation will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa (935 Fourth Ave.) on Tuesday, May 29 from 7-9 PM. In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at the Alaska Community of Christ Church (8146 68th St. SE, Alto, MI) at 2:30 PM on Sunday, June 3,2007 with Evangelists Ron Deumute and Herb Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lakewood Community Ambulance, or the Community of Christ Church.
