Johnson, 62, of 1047 James St., died Monday morning, at Blodgett Memorial Hospital, Grand Rapids, after a short illness. Mr. Johnson had been a resident of Belding for 22 years and was employed by Gibson Refrigerator Co. He is survived by his wife, Naomi, 5 step-children, Mrs. Carl (Armada) Sawdy of Woodland, Mrs. Lyle (Marlene) Staffen of Greenville, Mrs. Elton (Charlene) Barrett of Wyoming City, Miss Judy Lee Woten at home and Paul Woten of Belding, two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Richmond, Lansing, Mrs. Ruby Darling, Mecosta; two brothers Thomas Johnson, Portland, Homer Johnson, Mecosta; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday from Fitzjohn-Courser Funeral Home with the Rev. L. W. Gibbs and Rev. Lowell Betts officiating. Burial was in Morton Cemetery, Mecosta County. Pallbearers were Tom Hartz, Carl Sawdy, Lyle Staffen, Harry Bruff, Elton Barrett and Paul Midlam.
