The son of Al and Josephine Noviski Johnson, he was born Sept. 30, 1945, in Grand Rapids. On Oct. 28, 1966, in Grand Rapids, he married Joyce E. Morris. He was employed as a driver for Modular Transportation. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Larry was a member of the Michigan Road Riders. He also had a passion for Corvettes, having bought his first one just last month. He enjoyed Red Wings hockey and NASCAR and Indy racing. He is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Joyce Johnson; their son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Mary Johnson of Greenville; granddaughter, Alexis; two brothers-in-law, Ken Morris, Don and Jean Morris; and sister-in-law, Phyllis and Harold Andrus. Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Ken Harger, pastor of Shiloh Community Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Balcom Cemetery, Ionia. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Contributions in Larry’s memory may be directed to the Rainbow Connection, in care of the Michigan Road Riders. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
