She was born June 22, 1922 in Flatwoods, Ky., the daughter of William and Catherine Walker Dheel. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Ironton, Ohio, received her diploma as a registered nurse from Nazareth School of Nursing, St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, Ky., and her diploma as a certified registered nurse from Cincinnati General (University of Cincinnati Hospital). Before her marriage she was a nurse anesthetist at Good Samaritan Hospital. Following her marriage she worked as a CRNA as various hospitals in Michigan (Yale Community Hospital, Marlette Community Hospital, Harbor Beach Hospital, Kelsey Memorial Hospital and Belding Community Hospital). She retired from United Memorial Health Center after 18 years. Anne Louise was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Right to Life, the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries, the Alvah N. Belding Library Board, the Belding Museum Board, Kentucky Colonels as well as the Belding, Big Sandy Valley and Kentucky Historical Societies. Her favorite hobby was genealogy and she belonged to the Genealogy Societies of Eastern Kentucky, Lapeer, Mich., Lawrence, Ohio, and Tuscola County. Her other activities included Girl Scout Brownie leader and Girl Scout cookie chairwoman for Belding and CCD teacher. On February 13, 1960 in Ashland, Ky., Anne Louise married William Johnson. She was preceded by her parents; three sisters, one brother, two daughters Sally May Johnson, Martha Jane Johnson; son, John Dheel Johnson; and grandson, Michael Senn. She is survived by her husband; their daughters, Linda and Edward Senn of Stanton, Joanne and Marcus Harman of Oklahoma City, Okla., Carol and John Brickner of Tiffin, Ohio, Mary Lou and Douglas Himebaugh of Fruitport, Catherine and James Dickey of Arley, Ala.; 12 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding, with Father Troy A. Nevins officiating. The rosary will be prayed at church at 9:30 a.m. Visitation will follow the rosary from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Following Mass, Anne Louise requested that her body be donated to the University of Michigan for anatomical research. Final interment will be in Marlette Cemetery, Marlette. Memorial contributions may be given to Visiting Nurse Hospice, the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available to the church and the funeral home.
