Raymond L. Johnson, 88, of Newaygo, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, in
Zephyrhills, Fla.  He was the son of Ole and Olga Johnson of Greenville.  

Mr. Johnson was a 1936 graduate of Greenville High School and lived most of his
life in the community Mr. Johnson married Marian Reeves of Belding in 1940.  He
was a retiree of Federal-Mogul Corp., having worked there in plant security for
more than 25 years.  He lived in Florida during most of his retirement years and
enjoyed the companionship of Janet Pothoff of Muskegon.  

His wife, Marian, preceded him in death in 1990.  Mr. Johnson is survived by a
son, William and Judy Johnson of Newaygo; a daughter, Carole and Joe DeGennaro
of Kentwood; two grandsons, David and Denae Johnson of Kent City, Daniel and
Marcy Johnson of Newaygo; granddaughter, Angela and Gene Billings of Rockford;
and six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Shelby, Lindsey, Grace, Katie Johnson and
Reeve Billings.

Mr. Johnson will be cremated.  At his request, the family is not planning a
funeral service.  Interment is in the Otisco Township Cemetery near Belding. 
Memorials are suggested to Baruch Senior Ministries at Fountain View Assisted
Living in Grant.
