Johnson, 93, of 321 ½ West Main, died Friday morning at Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient about a week. She was born August 17, 1872 in Sweden, the daughter of Gustof and Caroline Sorenson Magnson. They came to the United States when she was a young girl and settled in Muskegon. She married Albert G. Johnson in 1895 in Muskegon and they moved to Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson came to Ionia in 1904. After her husband’s death in 1925, she returned to Muskegon where she resided until three years ago when she came to Ionia to make her home. Mrs. Johnson was confirmed July 3, 1883, in Samuel Lutheran church of Muskegon and has been a member since. Surviving are two sons, Rudolph of San Jose, Calif., and Clarence of Ionia, three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Rev. Lester Bailey will conduct a prayer service at 11 a.m. Monday at Myers funeral home. Funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Samuel Lutheran church in Muskegon with interment in Oakwood cemetery, Muskegon. Rev. Russell Johnson will be officiating minister.
