Hastings Reminder - Jan. 23, 2010

BELLEVUE, MI- Benreeta D. Johnson, age 91, of Bellevue died Saturday, January 
16, 2010.

She was born August 24, 1918 in Lake Odessa, to Benjamin and Reeta (Karchar) 
Archer.

She married Nels R. Johnson on Sept. 6, 1939, he preceded her in death in 1981.

Benreeta was a hard working farm wife and artist who enjoyed drawing, 
gardening, sewing, landscaping, and decorating her home.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie J. Mohn, of Saginaw, a son, Erick L. 
(Sherrie) Johnson, of Bellevue; grandchildren, Marc (Emilee) Frances (Den), 
Brian (Cheryl), Susan (Fred), Derek (Nichelle), and Segrid (Beau), and many 
nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers.

Services were held January 20, 2010 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home in 
Battle Creek. Burial took place in Woodland Cemetery, Woodland.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Battle 
Creek.
