She was born July 12, 1903 in Bowne Township, the daughter of Fredrick and Mary Ann (Weaver) Willand. Nov. 28, 1921 she married Spenor Johnson in Elmdale. He preceded her in death March 19, 1971. They lived in Campbell Township until 1932 when they moved to a farm in Lake Odessa. In 1935 they moved to a farm in Freeport. She attended Jennings school in Campbell Township; was a member of Calvary Brethren Church in Alto and Alto Garden Club. Survivors include one son, George Johnson of Freeport; two daughters, Miss Evelyn Ehlert of Grand Rapids; Mrs. Gaylord (Doris) Feasal of Also; one sister, Mrs. Gordon (Minnie) Stahl of Freeport; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Brethren Church in Alto, the Rev. Robert Moeller officiating. Burial will be in Bowne Mennonite Cemetery.
