BILLY JOHNSON
lake Odessa, MI -  Billy Johnson, age 87, of Lake Odessa passed away on Sunday, 
July 30, 2017 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth campus.

Billy was born on May 2, 1930 to Russell and Violet (Haenke) Johnson. He served 
in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as ordinance and cook. Billy also worked 
for many years at Lake Odessa Canning Company/Twin City Foods. In his younger 
days he was a volunteer firefighter in East Grand Rapids, Cascade and lake 
Odessa.

Billy leaves behind sons, Brett (Connie) Johnson, Daniel Scott (Patty) Johnson, 
Matthew Johnson and Gregg Johnson; daughter-in-law Julie Johnson; six 
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Martin Johnson, Jerry 
(Wilma) Johnson, Joan Maxwell and Jeanne (Gene) Cedarquist.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wife, Pauline and son , Richard Johnson.

A gathering of friends and family is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 from 2 
until 5 PM at Koops Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place in Lakeside 
Cemetery.
