DONNA LEE JOHNSON 1931-2017
Donna Lee Johnson, aged 85 of Saranac, passed away April 2, 2017. She was born 
April 25, 1931, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the daughter of Leo and Gertrude 
(Freeman) Hewitt.

She married Laverne Johnson in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 1994. Donna 
attended Burton Baptist church in Grand Rapids.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Dan) Heaven of Grand Rapids and Gerald 
(Bobbie) Smith of Saranac; grandchildren, Scotty Smith, Gerald Smith Jr., 
Jennifer Smith,Jason Smith, Jeremy Smith, Jacob Smith, Kristin Smith, Lee Peak, 
Chris Peak; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and sister, Joanie 
Riddle.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; children, Doug, Shelly and Eddy.

Memorial services will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the 
River of Life church, 77 Church St. Saranac MI 48881 with a luncheon to follow.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions to River of Life Church.
