VERA JOHNSON DIED FRIDAY

Mrs. Vera M. Johnson, 77, of Woodland township passed away early Friday at 
Pennock Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks.

She and her husband, Gus, came to the Woodland area from Sweden  when she was 
twenty years of age and where she has lived since. Mr. Johnson passed away in 
1939.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Christine (Ted) Euper and Mrs. Lucille 
(Vernice) Raffler, both of Woodland township; four sins, Herman of Midland, Nels 
of Woodland, Roger of San Antonio, Texas and Arnold of Ann Arbor; 18 grand 
children and 5 great grand children.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 at the Woodland Methodist Church. Rev. 
Lila Manker of Hastings officiated with burial in Woodland Memorial Cemetery.
