B. Johnson. Odessa, Oct. 13. - Telegraphic message to C. F. Braden, last Wednesday, announced the fact that Mrs. A . B. Johnson, formerly a resident of this township, but later of Hesperia, had died after but three days' illness, at Kansas City,, where she with her husband, the Rev. A. H. Johnson, had gone to visit relatives. The remains reached Lake Odessa Thursday evening, and the funeral was held from the M. E. church Friday morning, the services being conducted by Rev. A. T. Luther, assisted by the Revs. Slater of Woodland, Fairbanks of Saranac and Sheenan of Hastings. Araminta Bernice Culver was born 60 years ago, and came to Galesburg, Michigan at the age of 19; was married Dec. 16 at Albion to A. B. Johnson, was the mother of three children, Mrs. Mable Baker of Hastings, Jesse E. of Greenville and Warren, who died in childhood. The large concourse of people and the beautiful flowers gave evidence of the esteem in which the deceased was held by her former neighbors and friends.
