Mr. Johnson was born in Orleans township, April 1, 1904 and lived in the Belding area most of his life until the last nine years when he moved to Greenville. A veteran of WWI, Mr. Johnson served with Troop L, second U.S. Cavalry and was discharged in 1921 from Ft. Riley, Kan. In WWII, he served with the U.S. Coast Guard. A foreman at Gibson refrigerator Division of Hupp Corp., he belonged to Gibson Management Club. On September 28, 1956, Mr Johnson was married to Fannie Fuller who survives. Besides his widow, he leaves a step-daughter, Mrs. Harold King, Greenville; one step-son, Charles Fuller, Orange, Calif.; one niece, Mrs. Lonnie Rurick, Valparaiso, Ind.; one nephew, Kenneth Nichols, Greenville; six step- grandchildren; one step-great grandchild. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Huffman Funeral Home with Elder Varian Bauman of the RLDS church, Greenville, officiating. Burial was Green cemetery. Pallbearers were Ernest Bennett, Ora Tingley, Max Durdle, Orin Wood, Ed Punches and Glenn Gould.
