He was born in Orleans Township, February 23, 1893 and has lived in Belding since 1914. Thru the years he was employed as an engineer fo Gibson Refrigerator Co. and a foreman at Metal Glass Corp. He had been retired for two years. He was a member of Belding Lodge No 355, F & A M. His wife the former E.Marie Thompson survives. Also surviving are his mother, Hattie Johnson, of Otsego, two sisters,Mrs.John Clark and Mrs.Richard Tygensen of Otsego, four brothers, Clyde and Claude of Belding, Harry of Detroit, and Robert of Grand Rapids. Funeral service were held Tuesday at the Huffman FuneralHome.Rev.H.S.Ellis and Belding lodge No 355, F & A.M officiating. Burial was in River Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers were Glenn Converse, Raymond Oberlin, George King, Frank Hubbard and Floyd Warner.
