He failed rapidly till Monday P.M. when he died. A post mortem examination held upon his body Tuesday P.M. revealed a large abcess in the right lobe of the liver, and a general infiltration of pus through the entire system. Augustus N. Johnson was born in Newbery, Indiana. His family moved to Michigan when he was seven years old, he has resided at Fenton and Newaygo. He graduated at the dental school at Ann Arbor in the spring of 81 and came to Portland to practice. Since that time he has been gaining rapidly in profession, and in the love and respect of his fellow citizens. Few men had the faculty of making friends that he had and his loss will be long and deeply felt. Prayer was held this morning at his late residence from which he was taken to Fenton where he will be buried beside his father.
