Rosalie J. Johnson, 67, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Ionia, died Saturday, 
December 3, 1994 at St. Mary’s Living Center.  She was born June 15, 1927 in 
Belding, the daughter of Orva and Jessie (Burns) Royce.  She graduated from 
Belding High School in 1944.  She was a member of the Shiloh Community 
Church.  She married Ralph Johnson, who preceded her in death in 1985.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy J. Johnson, of Ionia; her stepmother, 
Ethel Royce, of Belding; one sister-in-law, Barbara Palethorpe, of Belding; 
two sisters: Marilynne Cory and Mabel Petersen, both of Belding; one brother, 
Bobby Royce; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and Tricia Easton, of 
Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Hoffman Funeral Home in 
Belding.  The Rev. Kenneth Harger will officiate.  Burial will be in River 
Ridge Cemetery in Belding.  Visitation will be today from 2:30 to 4:30 and 7 
to 9 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the Alvah N. Belding Library.
