Father Paul Johnson, age 67, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004.  He had been 
ill for some time. He was born Sept. 5, 1937 in Muskegon. He was ordained to 
the priesthood June 1, 1963.  He served as assistant pastor at Ss. Peter & 
Paul Parish in Ionia from 1963 to 1968. He continued to serve the Church of 
the Diocese of Grand Rapids in education and as pastor of several parishes 
until his retirement on Jan. 1, 2004.

Visitation is 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday at 
Pachesny-Jend Funeral Home, 1415 Peck St., Muskegon.  Wednesday evening Fr. 
Johnson will lie in state at Our Lady of Grace Church in Muskegon with a Vigil 
Service at 7 p.m. followed by a Remembrance at 7:30 p.m. Father will also lie 
in state one hour prior to the funeral Mass on Thursday.  The Funeral Mass is 
11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lade of Grace Church in Muskegon.
