Y., April 28, 1832, was married in 1851 to Andrew D. Johnson of Orleans, Mich., and died Thursday, Feb. 10, 1910, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Robert P. Johnson, of Orleans. She leaves three sons and one daughter, besides a sister to mourn her loss. She was one of the pioneers of the county and lived to see the wilderness become a fertile plain covered with the homes of a prosperous people, and great indeed have been the changes since she came, a child, with her parents to Ionia county. Her husband died Oct. 2, 1897, aged 69 years, since which time she has made her home mostly with her daughter, Mrs. J. Clark. Those of her neighbors who were here when the country was new and times were hard can best appreciate her worth and kindliness as a neighbor and will miss her in the days to come.
